you@device:~$ what does this app send?
nothing. there is no server to send it to.
Blue Penguin Linux Prep ("the app") is an independent study tool for the RHCSA (EX200) exam. The privacy story is short because the app has no accounts and no backend: it does not collect, transmit or share any personal data.
what is collected
Nothing. Everything the app knows about you — study progress, quiz scores, best results, personal notes, bookmarks, streaks, your chosen prompt name, your exam date and your settings — is written to local storage on your device and stays there. It is never uploaded, and we never see it.
analytics and tracking
None. The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking, and it uses no identifiers to follow you across apps or websites.
notifications
Reminders are local notifications, scheduled and generated on your device. Nothing is routed through an external server, and the content is assembled on the device from your own progress. You can switch them off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
ratings
The app may ask whether you would like to rate it. That prompt is presented and handled by the App Store or Google Play under their privacy policies, not ours — we never receive your rating, your review, or any identifier from it.
your data, and deleting it
Because everything is stored locally, you are in complete control. Either of these removes it permanently:
- Settings → Reset progress, which clears stored data in place.
- Deleting the app, which removes its local storage with it.
There is nothing held anywhere else, so there is nothing to request or revoke.
children
The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
changes
Any change to this policy is published on this page with a new date above, and ships alongside a future version of the app.
